The Company:
ER Recruitment are excited to be working with our client, an imaginative, forward-thinking brand based in Leicester. They are a family-owned company who have won several accolades for their quality.
This outstanding company are now seeking a Production Manager who will work very autonomously although have the support of the Managing Directors and Operations Director.
Role & Responsibilities of the Production Manager:
- Planning and organising the manufacture of a wide range of products within a construction environment
- Managing a team of production operatives, problem solving and scheduling work, across all shifts.
- Supporting and being highly hands-on and labour intensive, while coaching and developing colleagues.
- Managing suppliers and stock levels
- Play a significant role in identifying any continuous improvement projects and raising them with the Operations Director and Managing Directors
About You as the Production Manager:
- Firstly, proven experience as a Production Manager, ideally within the construction industry.
- Secondly, extensive experience and a thorough understanding of how to successfully lead a team
- Thirdly, great leadership and coaching style, reassuring and happy to train and develop staff.
- Furthermore, you need to be very organised and focused on forward-planning with a hands on approach
- Moreover, you should be driven and can identify key opportunities.
- Additionally, you need good problem-solving skills as well as decisive judgment and evaluation skills.
- As well as this, you need to be able to communicate.
- Highly motivated, able to measure operational effectiveness.
- Great attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety
- Personable and will act as an ambassador of the brand with a down to earth personality and a calm and level-head.
- Finally, the ability to see the bigger picture and develop and contribute to that while being able to break that down for your team.
